WPIAL FALL REALIGNMENT AND WHAT IT MEANS FOR BISHOP CANEVIN TEAMS

On Monday the WPIAL announced the new realignment for fall sports.  The winter and spring sports will be announced over the next few weeks.  This is a process the WPIAL goes through every two years.  Each school turns in its current number of students in school enrolled in grades 9-11.  The schools are then assigned

Alexa Malloy and Maddie Maziarz earn Volleyball All State Honors

Congratulations to Alexa Malloy and Maddie Maziarz, who were selected to the 2019 Pennsylvania Volleyball Coaches Association (PVCA) Class A All-State Team. Maddie made the All-State team last year and becomes the 9th Canevin player to make the All-State team in multiple seasons.  Maddie finishes her Canevin career as the school’s all-time leader in assists and aces.

WPIAL Championship Preview

The Bishop Canevin Crusaders girls volleyball team will be playing in their 7th straight WPIAL championship on Saturday afternoon.  They will face section rival, the Fort Cherry Rangers in the Class A final.  Start time is scheduled for 12 noon. Bishop Canevin is 19-2 on the season, they won Section 3-A with a 12-0 record. 

WPIAL Semi-Final Preview

A berth in the WPIAL Class A Girls Volleyball is at stake tonight for Bishop Canevin as they face the Geibel Catholic Gators at OLSH High School.  Start time is scheduled for 7:30 pm.
