Chase Evans played a part in all three goals and the defense held the Falcons to 25 shots and earned the team’s first shutout of the season as Bishop Canevin beat Connellsville, 3-0 at the Connellsville Ice Mine on January 30.
The game was scoreless when Evans got his first assist of the night with just over one minute left in the first period to give BC a lead they would never relinquish.
In the second period Evans received a pass from Cameron Ropchock and put his ninth goal of the season into the net and the Crusaders lead was up to two.
That was the score for most of the night. But when Cameron Ropchock put away an empty net goal off of a feed from Evans with 11 seconds left in the game, the final score was 3-0. This gave Ropchock his 17th goal of the season and Evans his 5th game with three or more points.
