Ryan Saginaw broke a tie with his 8th goal of the season in the third period. Justin Lashley added an emtpy net goal with 12 seconds left to seal a 4-2 Bishop Canevin hockey victory over Trinity at the Ice Castle on Thursday night.
Braehm Brown had assists on the Crusaders’ first two goals of the game. The first one tied the game at one in the first period. Turner Anselm scored his 8th goal of the season in the second period to give BC a 2-1 lead after two periods.
Trinity tied the game early in the third period before Saginaw gave the Crusaders the lead for good with his goal.
Bishop Canevin is 7-1-2 for 16 points, good for a three-way tie for first place in the North Division. The Crusaders have a game in hand on the other two teams. Canevin’s next game is Thursday, February 18 at the Ice Castle against Burrell. Game time is scheduled for 7 PM.
