The JV Volleyball Girls played very well in their home opener on Monday night, defeating Burgettstown on Tuesday night to go 2-0 in section play and 2-2 overall.

Set 1 was even through the first half of play, then a service run by Sophomore Bella DeMark gave BC a lead it would never lose ..DeMark also covered a lot of ground defensively as set one was won 25-18.

In the 2nd set, BC freshmen started to establish that their new home gym for the next four years would be friendly confines. Trinity Anselm, GIa Beichner, and Keira Kozlowski attacked with aggression and control in the 2nd set. Setters Mia Altman and Sani Jones got them and the other attackers the ball in great spots, thanks to passes from Alysha Cutri and Lexi Zurbola among others. BC won the set 25-14 to clinch the match.

The JV girls are next in action on Saturday in the 18 team Shaler JV Tournament. Sto-Rox does not have a JV team, so Thursday’s match will be varsity only.
