The Bishop Canevin Girls JV Basketball team got a chance to play in front of the home crowd on Monday night and put up a strong performance in beating the Bentworth JV Girls by a score of 48-4.
Freshman Ashley Lippold lead the Crusaders with 18 points, 16 of those in the first half as BC had a 32 point advantage at the half. Amber Cross and Maura Pechin each had 5 points in the first half for Canevin. Cross finished the game with 10 points.
Josie Bochicchio added 5 points in the second half and Erin Jameson and Shenne Sirazitdinova each added a basket in the second half for Canevin.
The Crusaders JV Girls are next in action on Saturday, February 1 at home to face the Chartiers Valley Colts. JV Game time is 12 noon.
