The Bishop Canevin Baseball Team did score four runs in the finale of their two-game series with Jefferson-Morgan, but were unable to slow down the Rockets’ offense as they took off to a six-inning 15-4 win over the Crusaders. The game ended the section schedule for Bishop Canevin. They finished section play with a 3-7 record, with six non-section games still remaining on the 2021 schedule.
BC got on the board in the fourth inning. Justin Gmys reached on an error and Luke Andruscik singled. Both players scored after another error. Trey Varley walked and Francis Bochicchio doubled to continue the rally, but were left stranded and BC trailed 8-2 after four innings.

That double extended Gyms’ hitting streak to 11 games. Pinch-hitter Jake Loeffert hit a ground ball that forced an error that allowed both runners to score. The Rockets scored five runs in the sixth inning and retired BC in the bottom half of the inning to end the game.
