The Bishop Canevin Boys Freshmen Basketball team returned home on Tuesday afternoon, losing to OLSH 49-32.
BC trailed by only four after one quarter. Zach Ziegler had 5 points for the Crusaders and Quinten White added a three. The Chargers were able to extend their lead to nine points at halftime.
Canevin was able to narrow the lead in the third quarter. Ziegler scored four of his team high nine points. Michael Vaughn also hit his second three-point shot in the quarter, and when he hit a short jumper in the quarter’s final seconds, the Crusaders trailed only by six. Vaughn finished the game with eight points and White added five
OLSH went on a run to start the fourth quarter to put the game out of reach. Jake Leoffert ended the run with a three-point shot, but the Chargers won 49-32.
The BC Freshmen drop to 2-5. Their next game is on February 9 at Riverview. Game time is scheduled for 3:45 PM.
