Bishop Canevin’s Hockey Crusaders scored first, but it was the only goal they scored at Neshannock on Monday Night. The Lancers scored the last three goals of the game to defeat BC 3-1 in a battle of the North Division’s top two teams.
Ryan Saginaw scored his 10th goal of the season to give Canevin a 1-0 midway through the first period. That was the score after one period. Neshannock tied the game with a power play goal in the second period.
Neshannock broke the tie with a goal early in the third period. A power play goal midway through the final period gave the Lancers a cushion and was the final goal of the night.
Bishop Canevin is now 8-3-2, for 18 points, still good enough for second place in the North Division. They look to keep hold of that position as they face Wilmington on Tuesday night, back at the Hess Ice Rink. Game time is scheduled for 7 PM.
